Simple etiquette for beginners in golf
1) Tee-time:
Tea time is basically the same as a personal appointment to play golf, so be considerate first, arrive earlier than scheduled tea time, have a chance to warm up, and don’t miss tea time.
2) Equipment:
Don’t carry more than 14 golf clubs in your golf bag.
3) Dress Code:
If not most of them, they have the dress code required by the golf course, so let’s find out what the rules are before going to play golf.
You can play safely by looking at the professional shop on the course or by wearing long pants (no jeans or cargo pants) and a shirt with a collar, and don’t show up at the country club wearing flip-flops, pants or T-shirts before the round.
4) Who goes first?
When starting a golf game, you can decide who will start first, so when the game starts, the first qualified golfer can get the “honor” with the best score on the previous hole, or the player far from the hole on the fairway can tee off first.
5) Pay attention to the Tee Markers
When playing golf, pay attention to the tee marker.
The golf ball is located between two tee markers or behind two golf clubs.
Never put a golf ball in front of a ticker.
Always play safely behind the marker.
6) Keep up the pace
One of the biggest concerns for experienced golfers is that they are novice golfers who can’t keep pace with other golfers around them, so hitting the ball after a practice swing or two,
Keep your pace by catching the ball diligently and practicing swing less.
Don’t go too slowly than the front and back groups.
7) Out of Bound Balls
Areas outside the boundaries of the golf course can usually be identified by white lines or piles, so hitting a golf ball outside the range adds a one-shot penalty to the score and goes back to where you swung and try again.
Water hazards are marked on the golf course and can be identified by yellow and/or red piles, do not select a ball to land on the water hazard.
8) Respect the Players
It’s not very good to walk in front of someone’s putt line on the green.
Each footprint is inappropriate because it can change the path of the ball.
It is polite to stand where your shadow does not interfere with your companion’s putt line.
It is also necessary to be considerate of fellow golfers.
Talking or moving when it’s another player’s turn will distract you, so always turn off your cell phone.
9) Respect the Course
Replace Divot, follow the cart path rules, raise grass if necessary, if necessary.
If you pay attention to the rules and warnings in the golf course, other golfers can enjoy and safely hole out ^^
You can invite your partner in the next round, have good manners and be a good golfer.
